Conferences

Wellington is a national and international centre for educational thinking and debate. The innovation found in our curriculum – introducing wellbeing and the IB's Middle Years Programme – is matched by the inventiveness and variety of our conference programme (which culminates in June with the Sunday Times Festival of Education). The conference programme is aimed at innovative school leaders, and those who aspire to introduce real change to their institutions, from the state and independent sectors, as well as universities, local authorities and subject specialists. The programme addresses the leading educational issues of the day.

The conferences have proved to be hugely successful, attracting hundreds of delegates from all over the country. They have been on subjects including the teaching of Mandarin in British schools, state and independent school sectors working together more effectively, politics and education, and teaching happiness and well-being. Speakers from academia and industry have included Professor Howard Gardner, Dr Martin Seligman, Sir Tim Berners-Lee, Michael Gove MP, Tal Ben Shahar, Helena Morrisey, Lord Andrew Adonis, David Willetts MP, Sir Ken Robinson, and Catherine Hakim.

Information on the Wellington conferences programme is available from Tarla Woolhouse, Conference Organiser on +44 (0) 1344 444085 or email Tarla Woolhouse.
