Art Scholars and Exhibitioners Show

Wellington College is proud to present the 2011 annual Art Scholars and Exhibitioners show. The exhibition represents all five year groups at Wellington, from years 9-13. Art Scholars and Exhibitioners have produced work especially for the Young UpstArts exhibition which reflects their emerging talent, passion, enthusiasm and commitment. One of the defining features of art at Wellington is pupils being encouraged to be experimental with media, engaged with their work, independent and thoughtful. Unlike many other schools, there is no ‘house style’; Art Scholars and Exhibitioners at Wellington don’t work to any slavish formula, nor are they a part of any ‘Art factory’. Art Scholars and Exhibitioners demand the very highest calibre of work from themselves; they will never settle for second best. Many of our Scholars and Exhibitioners go on to study at prestigious Art Schools and Universities, whether in the UK or further a field.
