Gregory Norminton
Gregory was commissioned to write a play for the 4th Form to be performed during the Arts Festival at the end of the Summer Term 2008.
He has written ‘A 21st Century Faust’, and play in which a brilliant contemporary scientist sells his soul to the Devil in return for power over Nature. The play has a strong contemporary environmental edge.
Gregory is an OW who has written four novels, the latest being ‘Serious Things’. He has held a residency here before when he wrote a stage version of Raymond Briggs’ ‘Gentleman Jim’ and a play based on the supposition that any number of monkeys given access to typewriters will eventually produce the entire works of Shakespeare. He lives in Edinburgh.
