Events

There is a huge and varied range of events taking place here throughout the year, beyond all the curricular and extra-curricular activities for our pupils. Please cast your eyes leftwards and click on the programme - we will keep this up-to-date as the term progresses.

Master's Lectures

Wellington organises Master's Lectures involving some leading thinkers. Many of these are intended for our A-level and IB students, but there are always spare seats for anyone with a particular interest in the topic.

The Master’s lectures programme involves lectures by leading thinkers and are delivered by outstanding visiting experts: leading academics, top thinkers and some of the best speakers in the country.

The lecture programme is open to all students, parents, the college community, OW’s and interested parties. All lectures start at 8:00pm and there is no charge for attendance (unless otherwise advised). A detailed programme of each individual lecture is available on the Week Ahead nearer the time.

No tickets are issued for these lectures, but you are requested to register your interest to attend as there is limited space in each venue.

If you are interested in attending please email Tarla Woolhouse stating your connection to the College (i.e. student and house, parent with pupil name and house, staff, health club member, friend of Wellington).

Events for families of students

For parents, families, grandparents, godparents and other friends of the school, there are events arranged by the Wellington College Association (WCA). There is a lively programme of social events and trips organised by the WCA every term, and details can be found in the WCA section of this website.

Public Events

Wellington often holds events for the wider community. Theatre productions, fairs, and lectures are just some examples of what Wellington makes available. For more information, see the Public Events page.

Events for those in education

For headteachers, teachers and others involved in education, Wellington organises an outstanding series of national conferences to stimulate educational thinking and debate. The conference programme at Wellington is aimed at those from both the independent and state sector, and addresses the leading educational issues of the day.
