A course in the Theory of Knowledge (ToK) ToK challenges pupils to be curious, ask questions, appreciate uncertainty and difference, develop critical judgement, and detect bias, deception and illogic. Both ToK and the Extended Essay are hugely attractive to universities
A 4000 word Extended Essay The 4000 word extended essay develops the independent research and writing skills expected by universities, and it allows pupils to choose an area of personal interest within one of their subjects.
Creativity, Action and Service In the Creativity, Action and Service (CAS) component of the IB, pupils learn through experience the value of leadership, teamwork and responsible, compassionate citizenship. CAS aims to develop the whole person and is entirely consistent with Wellington's philosophy and outstanding extra-curricular provision

There are no A Level-style modular exams and re-take exams every six months to consume valuable learning time and disrupt the momentum of classes.
