Wellington pupils raise over £7,000 for Nabukenya Primary School in Uganda
The Blucher House has had a connection with Nabukenya School since 2005, has raised money and has visited the school to help with building and educational projects.
Inspired by their trip to Uganda last year to visit the Blucher's adopted school an hour and a half west of Kampala, Alex Miller and Sam Maynard, joined by Jordan Mann, decided to do a cycle ride to raise more money for the final building project at Nabukenya Primary School. Mr. Boobbyer boldly volunteered to join in. The result was that from 20-22 August the four of them rode from the London Eye to the Eiffel Tower, accompanied by Ken Maynard in a support vehicle. They rode 258 miles in three days and thoroughly enjoyed the experience, raising about £7-8,000 along the way.
