The Chapel service on Sunday 5th November is a full schoolEucharist and parents of theHill are invited to attend.

We are hoping to restart a Young Enterprise company scheme this year for the LVIth and have three companies eager to go but Young Enterprise itself is having difficulty getting them a YE Advisor. A YE Advisor is someone who should have some experience in business and is there to guide and help the students as they set up their companies and start selling their goods and services. In terms of time commitment, it would entail about 45 minutes per company per week this term, decreasing to about 20 minutes per week next term and hardly anything in the summer term. It should be highly fulfilling for anyone who chooses to do it - these students are keen and have lots of ideas, some better than others! If there are any parents who might be willing to help, could they contact Adam Seldis who will be happy to give them more information?

House photographs are now available to buy online. Indeed they can only be purchased this way. Click here for the site. You must then click the word HERE in the red box. For all Houses other than the Combermere and the Hardinge, the username is R6827D and the password is WHEOLU. For the Combermere and the Hardinge, the username isRG8272D and the password is WHEOLU2. There did seem to be a problem last week with the Hardinge and Combermere passwords but I think that has now been resolved. If there is a problem please contact Noel Brett, who organises the photographs.

Further Ahead

On Tuesday 7th November there is a conference being held at Wellington entitled "US University Admissons: Strategies for UK Students." If any parent is interested in attending the event which starts at 2:00 p.m. they should contactTarla Woolhouse for more details.

Further ahead on the second weekend of next term, Saturday 20th January, we plan to take all the Third Form to the Theatre in London. We did this with the Fourth Form this term and the event worked well. Therefore we would ask that you do not arrange anything for your sons and daughters in the Third Form for that Saturday night. The cost of the evening will be of the order of £40. If there are any problems with this trip on either issue, please contactJohn Arton-Powell as soon as possible as we need to get on and book tickets.
