Lacrosse is increasingly popular with the girls at Wellington. They train and play matches throughout the Michaelmas and Lent term against numerous co-educational and all-girls schools. 

There are currently two lacrosse pitches at Wellington and the sport is open to all pupils. Boys and girls can choose lacrosse as an activity on a Wednesday afternoon (WAA) which normally ends with a match against the staff.

Junior and senior girls are able to compete for the school in an open 1st XII and with more girls joining Wellington we hope the number of teams playing competitively will increase.

The girls have enjoyed success at the National Lacrosse tournaments over recent years and we  also have several girls’ who are currently representing their county. We look forward to many more following the same path as Lacrosse grows even stronger here at Wellington College.
