Shooting is a flourishing sport at Wellington and shooters have had a great deal of success at both small bore indoor and full bore outdoor. As well as our 6 point indoor range, pupils also use the magnificent facilities nearby at Bisley, the home of British shooting.

There are a number of staff who are dedicated to the success of the sport and are themselves active participants, several of them are Internationals and represent Great Britain on a regular basis.

The team train three times a week and the very best will compete for all three terms. Many have gone on to compete at a high level achieving junior GB level before leaving College.

Clay pigeon shooting is also an option to target shooting and the school, in addition to using the Bisley Commonwealth Games facility, now has its own clay pigeon set up. Those interested in clay shooting should contact Miss Carole Blunden-Lee on cjbl@wellintoncollege.org.uk
