Health Centre Nursing Sister

Department: Health Centre

Reports to: Sister in Charge

Salary: £15.73 per hour (basic rate)

Type of contract: Permanent

Weeks per year: 33 (term-time only)

We are currently seeking to appoint an enthusiastic individual to join our substantial Healthcare Team as a Health Centre Nursing Sister.

The post holder will be required to deliver high quality nursing care to pupils and staff and display a keen interest in adolescent health and wellbeing. The ability to work as part of a team, as well as autonomously is essential, as are excellent communication skills.

We welcome applications from experienced Registered General Nurses. In addition, experience in Paediatric Nursing, A &E, Practice Nursing or School Nursing is considered desirable.

Our busy Health Centre is open 24/7, for 33 weeks of the year. The duties offered are on a fixed rota basis, with some additional nursing duties as required.

The hours presently available include:

Alternate Friday nights – 16 per year – £198 flat rate per night

Alternate Saturday days – 14 per year – basic rate x 1.5

A bedroom is available within the Health Centre for the nurse to both sleep and to be available to see pupils who are unwell at night.

Chef de Partie – Hospitality

Department: Catering
Reports to: Head Chef
Salary: £11.28 per hour (£21,996 per annum)
Type of contract: Permanent
Hours per week: 37.5 – 5/7 days per week
Weeks per year: 52

We are currently seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated team player to undertake the role of Chef de Partie.

In this busy role, you will be responsible for planning, organising, preparing and cooking food to a 5 star standard throughout the College.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

Producing a variety of food menus in different food styles across the day

High level customer service

Maintaining the work area in a clean and tidy manner

Supporting the day to day running of the kitchen and its functions

You must be prepared to take a trade test and possess a NVQ or City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or equivalent.  Experience of event catering and substantial experience in a similar role is crucial.

The main kitchen has recently been refurbished to a very high standard with the latest catering technology incorporated throughout.
