Vacancies within the Domestic Services Department

The Domestic Services Department is essential to the smooth running of the College, ensuring that all areas are cleaned and maintained safely and to the highest standard. The Department is comprised of Cleaning, Housekeeping, Matron, Laundry and Logistical Services staff members and constantly strives to achieve excellence in its service provision.


Cleaner

Department: Domestic Services
Reports to: Domestics Services Manager
Salary: £8.11 per hour

We often have cleaning opportunities arise within our busy Domestic Services team, full or part-time, permanent and casual, and would welcome applications from any enthusiastic and motivated individuals.

The role will involve the cleaning of various areas of the College site, including classrooms and boarding houses, to a high standard. Strong team working skills and the ability to be adaptable are essential for this role.

Vacancies within the Catering Department

Our dedicated Catering Department are responsible for delivering nutritious and tasty meals throughout the day to staff and pupils alike and providing a high-class hospitality service for the many and varied functions hosted by the College. At Wellington, we view the continuing improvement to our Catering services as an exciting journey and look to push boundaries and exceed expectations.


Chef de Partie

Department: Catering
Reports to: Executive Head Chef
Salary: £11.48 per hour (£22,400 per annum)
Type of Contract: Permanent and Casual
Hours per week: 37.5 (on a rota working 5 days out of 7)
Weeks per year: 52

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated team player with a passion for food and great service to undertake the role of Chef de Partie. In this fast paced and diverse role, you will be responsible for planning, organising, preparing and cooking food to a 5-star standard throughout the College.

You must be prepared to take a trade test at interview and possess a NVQ or City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or equivalent.  Experience of event catering and substantial experience in a similar role is essential.

General Catering Assistant

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated team players with a passion for food and great service to join us as a General Catering Assistant.

The role will involve the preparation of counters throughout the day, the service of prepared foods as per agreed times and assisting with the cleaning of service areas and work within the bustling plate room, or vibrant in-house V&A Café, where required.

Vacancies at Wellington Health and Fitness Club

Wellington Health & Fitness Club is a well-established leisure facility that has approximately 2,800 members as well as accommodating the College’s PE and Sports programme for 1,000+ pupils throughout the academic year. The Club is set within the beautiful grounds of Wellington College and offers fantastic opportunities to improve wellbeing and quality of life.


Creche Assistant

Department: Wellington Health and Fitness Club (WCE)

Salary: £8.23 per hour
Type of Contract: Permanent part-time only
Hours per week: 8 (Monday and Friday 08:45 – 12:45)

Wellington Health and Fitness Club are currently seeking a kind and enthusiastic team player to ensure the day to day running of the onsite Crèche is of the standard required so that children will be safely cared for.

The ideal candidate will be required to demonstrate warmth and respect for children and a commitment to encourage their interests by giving them suitable opportunities to develop through social, physical and educational play, while their parents participate in leisure activities.

Fitness Instructor

Department: Wellington Health and Fitness Club (WCE)
Reports to: Operations Manager
Salary: £18,000 per annum

Wellington Health and Fitness Club are seeking to appoint a pro-active and enthusiastic Fitness Instructor who will be responsible for providing a first-class fitness service to our members and pupils.

The gym has just undergone a complete refurbishment programme in December with a full suite of Precor CV and resistance equipment, Milon Circuit as well as a full general works refurbishment programme. In addition to the main gym, our functional training room (The Qube) has also undergone a complete refurbishment programme with a new Queenax rig and flooring.

The post holder will also be responsible for conducting member inductions and fitness assessments, teaching small Group X classes in the Qube as well as ensuring the maintenance and safety of our fitness equipment in line with health and safety requirements. There is also the opportunity to conduct PT sessions outside of your regular shifts.

You should be qualified to a minimum of Level 2 and Level 3 is desirable but not essential. The post includes working evenings and weekends.
