Our aim is to enable an increasing number of families, who otherwise would not have been able to access the fees at Wellington, to send their son or daughter to the College. Annually, the College allocates around £1.7 million in financial aid to families via means-tested bursaries.
Means-tested bursaries are available to the families of children who have been successful in winning a scholarship upon entrance to the College at either 13+ or 16+. The award of a means-tested bursary is directly dependent on winning an entry scholarship. The value of bursaries may be up to 95% of College fees, depending on individual family circumstances.
If a family wishes to apply for a means-tested bursary, they should complete the appropriate fields when filling in the scholarship application forms and also contact the Bursar’s Office to request the specific bursary forms which must be returned before a bursary can be considered. The Bursar’s PA, Mrs Lisa Thompson, can be contacted at firstname.lastname@example.org or 01344 444 020.
Two other specific bursary funds exist which are not directly dependent upon the winning of a scholarship. Please visit the pages on Foundationers and the Prince Albert Foundation for further details.
