The Michaelmas term 2020 threw plenty of challenges at Wellington dancers, including no physical contact, year group classes only, social distancing and of course pupil isolations.  The Wellington dancers did not let this stop them; with disrupted rehearsals, the additional challenges of maintaining distance in a subject that typically encourages the opposite, pupils really rose to the challenge.

Charlie’s Twisted Chocolate Adventure showcased an array of contemporary, ballet, commercial, acrobatics and more. The range of work took audiences on a fun, exciting, and sometimes moving journey with Charlie and Wonka, played beautifully by Alex and Ned, respectively.

The technical team responded adapted brilliantly. The show was filmed professionally and shared with our Wellington community around the world.  This highlighted just how lucky we are to have a brilliantly skilled team ready to support the Arts in such a way.  The Arts surviving this term is a true testament to what Wellington pupils are capable of and we cannot wait for the next dance event, be it virtual or live.
