British-Bahraini trumpeter and composer, Yazz Ahmed, brings her distinctive sound and superb Hafla Band to Wellington College to perform a set of exciting music that explores her Middle Eastern heritage. Combined with influences from her recent collaborations with creative musicians from the work of Rock, Ambient Musics and Sound Design, you will hear some music from her recent Naim Records album “La Saboteuse”.
This concert will open with a short set from the Wellington College Jazz Orchestra and Jazztet, showcasing their inspiration from an afternoon workshop with Yazz and the band.
