We are delighted to announce Kate Ferry, current parent and Chief Financial Officer of TalkTalk, will be hosting our first Life Beyond Wellington talk of the lent term. This session is aimed at current 6th form students and young OWs who wish to find out more about a career within the finance industry. Kate will give us an overview of her fascinating career so far, discussing how she got to where she is today and sharing some helpful tips and advice for those considering a career in finance. There will be a Q&A at the end of the session and we do encourage you to ask as many questions as possible.
Prior to joining TalkTalk in 2017, Kate was a member of the Dixons Carphone PLC Executive Committee, after originally joining The Carphone Warehouse Group Plc in 2010 as Corporate Affairs Director to facilitate the demerger from TalkTalk. Kate began her career in audit with PricewaterhouseCoopers, qualifying as a chartered accountant before moving to Merrill Lynch as a Director within the retail sector equity research team, where she spent the next ten years. Since June 2019, Kate has served as Independent Non-Executive Director of Greggs PLC, where she is Chair of the Audit Committee.
