The Montgomery Recital Competition Final is the first in our series of Montgomery Competitions this year, and is the most prestigious music competition of the year. The Montgomery prize was founded in 1964 by Brigadier A. H. Montgomery (Anglesey 1916-21) to mark his gratitude to the Music School on the departure from the College of his son, James (Picton
1959-63). This year we are privileged to welcome Quentin Thomas, conductor and composer as well as Director of Music of Oundle School, to adjudicate the evening.
