The Montgomery Recital Competition Final is the first in our series of Montgomery competitions and is the most prestigious music competition of the year. It was founded in 1964 by Brigadier A.H.Montgomery (Anglesey 1916-21) to mark his gratitude to the music school on the departure from the College of his son, Jamers (Picton 1959-63). This year we are privileged to welcome Julian Lloyd Webber, cellist, conductor and Principal of the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire to adjudicate the evening.
