The Montgomery Solo Singers’ Competition Final is the second in our series of Montgomery Competitions this year. The Montgomery prize was founded in 1964 by Brigadier A. H. Montgomery (Anglesey 1916-21) to mark his gratitude to the Music School on the departure from the College of his son, James (Picton 1959-63). We are delighted to welcome Garth Bardsley to adjudicate. Garth made his operatic debut with the D’Oyly Carte Opera Company, and has been a leading actor in many of the UK’s major repertory theatres and has extensive experience in and knowledge of musical theatre, especially in the works of Stephen.
