Ian will talk about what is probably the most important piece of education research ever.  ‘In the 1980s, Professor Carol Dweck started to conduct research into the effect of a person’s beliefs about their own intelligence on the progress that they made with learning. Her research was ground-breaking and shows us that what we believe about our own intelligence and how we give praise to others has a significant impact on how well we learn. This talk will explain Dweck’s research and its impact for pupils, teachers and parents alike.’
