EDI at Wellington is led by Naima Charlier, our Deputy Head Compassion, Belonging and Wellbeing. Naima is a member of the Executive Leadership Team, embedding EDI at the highest levels of decision-making. She is supported by the EDI Advisory Group, that meets regularly to oversee an ambitious programme of change. The EDI Advisory Group brings together Wellington governors, staff,  students and alumni from across the College and Wellington Prep.

Wellington College is committed to anti-racism work. Our ‘Race and Identity Champions’ are a group of staff who work to support the whole community in this commitment. Student groups such as PrideSoc, CulturalSoc, FemSoc and MenSpeak provide spaces for students to raise awareness of issues, share experiences and celebrate diversity of thought and experience. Two Relationship and Inclusion Ambassadors are appointed within each house. These Ambassadors help to create a culture of belonging in their house, connecting students across year groups and interests.

“Inclusion Ambassadors work in each house - supporting everyone to create a true sense of belonging. We are also there to give you someone to contact if you feel that something more can be done on EDI at Wellington.”
