The Admissions Department is always delighted to welcome visitors and prospective parents to the College, and there are a number of ways in which to organise a visit to Wellington. Slots fill up quickly, however, so parents are advised to book three to four months in advance to guarantee availability.
Visitors Days are the most popular way of visiting Wellington. These events take place on Saturday mornings, seven times a year, and provide an easy and effective way of conducting a first visit to the College. After refreshments at 10.30am, the Master addresses visitors from 11am until 12noon with help from a pupil panel and senior staff. There is then an opportunity to tour the campus with a current pupil before lunch is served in the Dining Hall at 1pm. Please click here ‘Book a Visitors Day’ to reserve a place. Upcoming Visitors Days:
- Saturday 19th January – FULL
- Saturday 2nd March
- Saturday 27th April
- Saturday 8th June (13+ Entry 2022 & 2021 Late Admissions Only)
Master’s Lodge Receptions are smaller events aimed at those looking at 13+ entry. They are organised six times a year on Saturday mornings and tend to be favoured by families for a second visit. The event is hosted by the Master, Julian Thomas, in his home where an informal Q&A is followed by a tour of the campus. Senior staff, HMs, and Third Form pupils are on hand to help answer questions. For more details about availability or booking, please contact Karen Dyer, the Admissions Secretary, on 01344 444 013 or email@example.com.
It is also possible to arrange individual visits during the working week. These slots are primarily aimed at families who are unable to attend a Visitors Day or Lodge Reception and consist of a meeting with the Director of Admissions or other key member of staff as well as a tour of the campus with a L6th College Ambassador. In the summer term, we offer regular Group Visits throughout the week to accommodate the large number of guests choosing to visit us at that time. Please contact Karen Dyer, the Admissions Secretary, on 01344 444 013 or firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange a visit.
