The neighbour heard the screams from next door. The body was found floating in Chiswick River. At 16 and 20 years old, Orestes and Electra never thought they would be interrogated as suspects in their father’s murder. Blood of my Father is a dark, twisted, spiralling sequence of police interrogations. Who is lying under oath? Will the pressure push them to breaking point? This is Electra, reimagined for 2024.

Blood of my Father is a one-act play, performed by students from the Wellington Theatre Collective. This fast-paced, spiralling sequence of mini-scenes follows the investigation of Officer Pallas and drives its audience to work out who murdered Agamemnon Alexi? This modern day thriller, and world premiere, looks into the lives of middle class dysfunction, the cover ups and fear of scandal, as well as the long term effects of abuse.

The play is written by 16 year old student, Darcey Hogan and directed by Ashleigh Walter. The Wellington Theatre Collective is made up of the school’s drama scholars, and they are delighted to be performing for one night only at Wellington College before performing at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
