The Ski team achieved success on their recent trip to Wengen, Switzerland for the schoolboys’ races despite facing tough competition from some national team talent. After two productive days of training and a narrow loss against Harrow for the A team in the parallel slalom, the boys competed in the giant slalom on the famous Lauberhorn piste. Sebastian T claimed 2nd place in the U18 category, contributing to the team’s success. Additionally, Morgan D displayed fantastic skiing skills, securing a 6th-place finish in the U14 category.

On the second day of races, the focus shifted to the slalom event. With excellent preparation from our coaches and experienced skiers, a cohesive team environment was established, crucial for many participants experiencing their first race environment. Sebastian continued his impressive performance finishing 3rd in the U18 category, while Oscar OC clinched 2nd place in the U21 category. Special congratulations are also in order for Hadrian D, who secured 3rd place in the unregistered category for the U14s.

Overall, it was a resounding success for the Wellington College Ski Club, showcasing the strength of teamwork and individual talent within the team.
