Netball at Wellington is available in the Michaelmas Term (Tier 2) and Lent Term (Tier 1), with regular mid-week and Saturday block fixtures. A specialist Netball offering runs in the Summer Term. All abilities are welcomed within the College’s programme. Students benefit immensely from our onsite facilities and expertise, training weekly in our Indoor Netball Centre, supported by lead Level 2-qualified coaches. All pupils follow our Netball Curriculum, developing their core and game-specific skills across their journey through Wellington and School Sport.

We compete in the National Schools competition alongside selected Cups, regularly reaching the final stages of these competitions. Our programme supports players to pursue Netball at club and beyond, developing their individual technical and tactical abilities and execution within their unit and team. We are home to the Berkshire County PDP programme and maintain strong links with the Netball Performance Pathway, with multiple staff coaching within these organisations alongside their College roles.

The boys put in a fantastic performance last week against last year's national champions. It was a gritty performance in defence epitomised by the tackling of Wilbur (Pn) and Raffi (L). In attack the players produced tempo and fluidity that led to a Mofe (S) hattrick.

Well done to this week's Team of the week, the Girls U14C Hockey team, who had a sensational win after only one session of practice, but achieved a commanding 4-0 win! The girls came together with impeccable teamwork and with 12 players, most pushed through a whole game.
