Our purpose-built Real Tennis court, opened in 2016 and known as The Maltby Court, provides an exceptional environment for learning and competing in this unique sport.
Real tennis is unlike any other racket sport. Played within an enclosed court featuring walls, galleries and angled surfaces, it challenges players to think creatively, adapt quickly and develop a deep tactical understanding of the game.
At Wellington, students are introduced to the sport in an inclusive and supportive environment. Whether picking up a racket for the first time or building on existing experience, players quickly develop confidence, coordination and a genuine appreciation for the game’s intricacies.
Coaching and Development
Our professional coaching team delivers high-quality sessions tailored to all levels. A structured pathway allows students to progress from beginner fundamentals to advanced match play, with opportunities to refine technique, strategy and match awareness.

Real tennis at Wellington is both competitive and social. Students have the chance to take part in fixtures, inter-club competitions and internal events throughout the year, building both skill and camaraderie.
