The First XI travelled to Alleyn’s for the third round of the ISFA U18 Cup and returned victorious after a composed and confident 2–0 win.

In a standout display, Anish A scored both goals, with excellent supply from Joe T and Fedor C, whose assists set up the decisive moments. The result sees Wellington safely through to the last 16 of the national competition.

One of the great fixtures in schools’ rugby once again lived up to its reputation as Wellington College met Sedbergh under the lights at Broadstreet RFC. Over the years, this clash has consistently produced drama, passion and unforgettable moments, and this year’s encounter may be one of the very best.

In a fiercely contested battle, Wellington’s 1st XV edged a thrilling 20–17 victory, showcasing immense heart, defensive steel and exceptional composure in key moments. The win adds another dramatic chapter to what many argue is the greatest rivalry in school rugby.

A special mention must go to Mr Dunne, whose celebratory jig on the touchline at the final whistle captured the joy and emotion of the occasion perfectly.
