In a ceremony that bridges past and present, Wellington College inducted its new Prefects in Chapel yesterday.
This annual occasion, dating back to 1861, remains one of the most meaningful moments in the College year. In a ceremony that connects generations of Wellington students, each Prefect signed their name in the historic Prefects’ Book, a symbolic act linking them with those who have held the role before, and those who will follow in years to come.
The service celebrated not only achievement, but also responsibility, leadership, and service to the College community. As our new Prefects step into their roles, they do so as part of a long and distinguished legacy at Wellington.
We congratulate them all and look forward to the contribution they will make in the year ahead.
