Canada Cup Success

After two years of cancellations, the Canada Cup finally took place during the final week of the Michaelmas Term and into the Christmas holidays. The first five days oversaw some very helpful training, followed by a quick victory, with Space L-C and his team winning the dual slalom. The following two days were difficult with very cold temperatures of up to minus 42 degrees Celsius, resulting in the second run and a few other races being cancelled. There were however podiums for captain Oscar O-C who came 3rd in the U18 men’s category and Lucy O-C who came 3rd in the women’s category. Seb T came 2nd in the U16 boys’ category and Emily T won the women’s category and achieved the fastest time in the competition!

Overall, Wellington came 2nd; an amazing performance and a fantastic way for the ski team to return to action. The team will be back in action later this month in France and Switzerland.
