Step into a rich and evocative musical journey with In the Belovéd Hour, a short programme with acclaimed British tenor Guy Cutting (Tenor) and George Ireland (Piano).
This programme of English song is centred around Ralph Vaughan Williams’ 1904 cycle Songs of Travel and explores the feelings and experiences of the traveller who wanders far from home. The recital includes In the Belovéd Hour, a new commission by British composer, Piers Connor Kennedy, written especially for this programme as a companion piece to the Songs of Travel.
This performance is part of The Hour With series, regularly bringing inspiring musicians to Wellington College for short, accessible concerts for the whole community to enjoy.
Tickets are free to students at all schools and universities and we hope the series will inspire the next generation of musicians and music lovers.
There will be a complimentary bar serving soft drinks and wine, with donations supporting the Wellington College Arts Fund.
