Geordie Grieg met Lucian Freud over breakfast for several Sunday’s in Clarke’s restaurant, in Kensington Church Street. He talks about Freud, probably the most important British artist of the second half of the 20th century, with an unapologetic mixture of intelligent perception and high gossip. It deepens the understanding of Lucien Freud, as both man and artist, and is both fascinating and appalling.
