The Montgomery Contemporary Competition is a music competition that celebrates the work of students in popular styles. Come and hear the finalists compete for this prestigious prize – expect guitarists, drummers and singers. The Montgomery Prize was founded in 1964 by Brigadier A.H. Montgomery (Anglesey 1916-21) to mark his gratitude to the Music School on departure from the College of his son, James (Picton 1959-63), and to foster future musicianship in the college.
