Our top instrumentalists perform to compete for the prestigious Montgomery Prize, (founded in 1964 by Brigadier A.H Montgomery to mark his gratitude to the Music School on the departure from the College of his son and to foster future musicianship in the college).

The recital prize is awarded to the instrumentalist who gives the best short recital lasting up to 11 minutes. Adjudicated by Rosie Whitfield, Head of Junior Guildhall.
