We are delighted to present a trilogy of parental virtual talks this term which will offer all parents the opportunity to gain support and insight into several very important an current topics. The interactive webinars will be led by Emma Gleadhill who is a highly experienced speaker and parenting coach.

The themes were put together by the parental mental health committee following consultations and feedback from other parents and students. We do hope that you will support the live talks; there will be the opportunity to put forward your questions to Emma prior to the talk and also for a more interactive debate during the webinar itself. All talks will be available for 1 month afterwards should you not be able to make the webinar itself (however you will need to register in advance via the links below).

Talk 3: Parenting in times of passion, causes, polarization, prejudice, around race, sex and sexuality, diversity and inclusivity.
• The power, passion, and purpose, of the teenage brain
• Campaigning mentalities – reactions to causes
• Narratives around Black Lives Matter, race, sexual harassment, sexual violence,
LGBTQ+, neurodiversity
• Inter-generational conflict – competition and rivalry…the role of the ‘silverbacks’
• Inclusivity, cultures of dignity in the home
