On Saturday, 14th September, four pupils from the Wellington College Cross Country team made a notable appearance at the Annual Alumni Race on Wimbledon Common. This was only the second time in the 72-year history of the race that current students joined the OWXC (Old Wellingtonians Cross Country) for this event. The 8k undulating cross-country course draws around 300 runners from approximately 60 schools. This long-standing tradition among alumni of top schools blends competitive spirit with a strong social element.
Despite the challenging course, our students demonstrated exceptional grit and determination, achieving impressive results and proving that their representation is certainly a match for many alumni. This new tradition is hopefully here to stay!

The OWXC is a dynamic and enthusiastic society with 77 current members. They regularly compete in national alumni events and participate in runs both in the UK and around the world.
