Wellington College welcomed back “The Big Gold Box” for two weeks in December. This offered the opportunity for transformational conversations between pupils and different communities across the globe such as activists in Mexico and entrepreneurs in Johannesburg, amongst others. Conversations centred around themes of Belief & Belonging, Climate Activism, Global Education, Human Rights and Interculturalism. The project team of Global Education, Chaplaincy and Global Citizenship worked to expand this opportunity and welcomed local partner state and prep schools to take part in the project, giving access to transformational conversations beyond Wellington pupils.
After the sessions pupils gave feedback on the experience. It was great to hear so many positive comments from our pupils and partner schools.
Pupils comments included “uplifting”, “empowering”, “enlightening”, “interesting” and “amazing experience”
