Sunday, 31st August saw 299 new pupils start their Wellington careers. Excited anticipation – along with a few butterflies – was in the air as they made their way to Chapel for a short welcome ceremony. A tone of expected excellence was set by new student Muli S’s flawless performance of Vivaldi’s Cello Concerto, before the Master, James Dahl, formally welcomed each pupil with a magisterial handshake. In a short but impactful address, Head of Third Form, Philip Wragg, pointed to the Wellington values of kindness, respect, responsibility, integrity and courage and the role these values will play in uniting all new pupils as they begin their Wellington journey. We wish them all the very best of luck, and look forward to hearing of many triumphs along the way.
