Congratulations to Wellington College’s IB students, who have just received their Diploma results. With over 60% of candidates scoring at least 39 points and an overall average of 38.7, these results are not only really positive but also the best achieved since the pandemic.
Wellington’s Master, James Dahl, had this to say: “I could not be prouder of our graduating 2025 IB students, who have not only been one of our largest ever cohorts but also one of our most successful since the pandemic. To secure an average of 38.7 before any remarks is just reward for two years of commitment, academic endeavour and camaraderie of the highest level. Just as impressive is that within this group we also have international sportsmen and women, actors, dancers, and musicians who have sparkled on stage, as well as leaders and global citizens who have selflessly served communities both within and outside the College gates. I take my hat off to them all.”
The Master’s comments, praising the pupils’ academic success while also applauding the depth of their co-curricular involvement, are borne out by their strong performance in the IB core. Their average of 2.4 (out of a possible 3) confirms them not only as strong academics but also as a cohort keen to serve others.
We wish them all the best as they move on to university and beyond. And now, as one of the few UK schools to offer both the IB and A Levels, we await the results for our A Level candidates in August.
