Wellington College pupils to perform at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe

A group of 11 Wellington College pupils will take to one of the world’s biggest stages this summer as they perform at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe from 7 – 16 August.

The pupils will present Make Your Mirror Be Me, an original production by award-winning playwright Kirsty Housley, bringing together theatre, live music, mask work and ensemble storytelling in a powerful exploration of identity, community and belonging.

Set against the backdrop of a mysterious festival where masks watch, music fills the air and the boundaries between myth and reality begin to blur, the production follows a group of young people searching for answers after one of their own disappears into a shifting ritualised landscape. As certainty slips away, the play asks timely questions about the communities we inherit, those imposed upon us, and those we choose to create for ourselves.

Written by Fringe First and Samuel Beckett Theatre Trust Award-winning playwright Kirsty Housley, Make Your Mirror Be Me is an urgent new work that fuses live music, movement and theatrical storytelling to explore the stories we tell ourselves and the communities we dare to imagine.

The production is the result of months of rehearsal and creative collaboration, giving pupils the opportunity to present their work on one of the world’s most prestigious theatre stages.
