The Junior Montgomery Instrumental Competition is the final competition in our series of Montgomery competitions. This competition is for students in the 3rd and 4th form and the standard is above Grade 6 level. This year we are delighted to welcome Anthony Williams, Head of Keyboards at Radley College to adjudicate. Following international competition success Anthony embarked on a career as a concert pianist whilst also establishing an international reputation as a piano teacher and has since become a passionate educator of pianistic musicianship at all ages from beginner to advanced. As well as giving piano masterclasses, public lecture-recitals and seminars on performance, repertoire and the art of teaching he is a consultant for numerous professional development courses and gives teacher workshops both in the UK and abroad. This is always an outstanding opportunity to see the emerging talent in the school.
