Wellington College is renowned as a crucible of educational debate and intellectual discovery. This is, in no small part, thanks to the outstanding speakers who step through our gates each week to deliver talks, lectures, and seminars on a wide range of topics to our pupils – and often to our parents too.

On Monday, we were delighted to welcome Dr Cahal Moran for our first Fireside Talk of the year. He delivered an engaging and detailed lecture on Why We’re Getting Poorer to an overflowing Great School audience.

As part of our academic extension programme, external speakers join us every Monday evening to share thought-provoking talks followed by a Q&A session, giving our students the chance to deepen their engagement and explore fresh perspectives. From Channel 5 presenter Claudia-Liza Vanderpuije to Bob Skinstad, former South African Rugby Union Captain and World Cup winner, we ensure our students have regular opportunities to broaden their horizons and pursue subjects they are passionate about.
