On Saturday 17 October, the Wellington community came together for the annual Wellington 5K ‘Race With Soul’ Fun Run, raising funds for the Jimmy Higham Scholarship.
The event brought together students, staff and parents for a friendly multi-terrain 5K race around the College grounds. With a mixture of competitive runners and those taking part for fun, the event was a fantastic celebration of community spirit, fitness and fundraising.
There were some outstanding performances on the day, with Edward C taking first place in the male category with a remarkable chip time of 16 minutes 36 seconds. Equally impressive was Eleri B, who finished as the fastest female runner in just 19 minutes 26 seconds, an exceptional achievement for a Third Form student.
Beyond the impressive times, the event was an opportunity for the Wellington community to come together in support of the Jimmy Higham Scholarship, helping to make a Wellington education accessible to talented young people.
A huge thank you to everyone who took part, supported the runners and helped make this year’s Wellington 5K such a success.
