The Under-15s rugby team has had an exceptional season, showcasing remarkable growth both on and off the field. Under the guidance of Coach James Parrott and Tommy Bilclough, the squad displayed resilience, determination, and a “next job” mentality that propelled them through a challenging campaign.

James Parrott shares some comments on the remarkable season, noting that the team’s journey started with a tough match against Whitgift, but the players quickly found their rhythm. Their standout performances against Harrow, Dulwich, and Cheltenham—totalling an impressive 120 points across three games—demonstrated the squad’s growing cohesion and skill. This momentum was further reinforced at the Langley Tournament, where the team proved themselves by emerging victorious and shutting out many of their opponents.

The team’s relentless drive carried them through the latter half of the term, where they enjoyed an undefeated streak of six consecutive victories. A particular highlight was their impressive 15-3 win over Sedbergh, with the team’s defensive discipline on full display, conceding just a single penalty.

Though their cup run ended before the final stages, the squad still made history by handing KCS Wimbledon their first defeat in two years.

While their attacking flow wasn’t quite as fluid as earlier in the season, their commitment in defence remained unwavering. A semi-final appearance marks a fitting end to a fantastic season, with the team now setting their sights on their exciting next challenge—South Africa. It is clear that this talented squad has a bright future ahead, and their journey together is far from over.
