Named after Wellington College’s first Head of College, the Boughey Run is one of Wellington’s oldest sporting traditions. It is also the shortest competitive race and arguably one of the toughest. Competitors have just the twelve chimes of the College clock to race from Front Quad to Swan Lake and back, demanding speed, determination and impeccable pacing. This year’s warm Monday afternoon added an extra challenge, but the commitment and enthusiasm of every runner were as strong as ever.

Congratulations to Sam (Hl), who claimed the boys’ title with an outstanding run, and Tilly (Ap), who was the first girl home in an excellent performance.

A huge well done to everyone who took part. Whether racing for the title or simply aiming to beat the final bell, every competitor embraced the challenge, helping to continue one of Wellington’s most enduring and much-loved traditions.
