On Sunday, 23rd June 2024, Wellington College celebrated its Third Form students’ achievements with a day of events, exhibitions, and performances. This annual celebration marks the end of the student’s first year, filled with pride and joy as students, parents, grandparents and teachers gathered to reflect on the past nine months.

The day began with afternoon tea at the V&A Café and Selangor Court, followed by exhibitions of Malim Projects and artworks in Waterloo Hall and the Cultural Living Room. A chapel service for pupils, parents, and grandparents provided a moment to honour the students’ journey.

The Malim Prize, highlighting intellectual curiosity, showcased diverse projects such as deep sky photography and biodiversity loss. The exhibitions allowed guests to admire the students’ impressive efforts in various disciplines.

The celebration continued with a concert in the GWA. Students displayed their musical talents with performances ranging from classical pieces to contemporary dance routines, showcasing their artistic abilities and hard work.

Awards included the Malim Prize, given to Joseph Bailey for his project on biodiversity loss, and the Matt Oakman Prize for Academic Extension, awarded to Polina Rubtsova for her research on COVID-19 vaccine distribution.

James Dahl praised the Third Form students for their achievements in academics, sports, and the arts. He highlighted their passion for learning, cultural contributions, and strong sense of purpose and values.
