Joel Worrall and Paul Vanni accepted the award on the night, marking the culmination of a period of remarkable growth for the organisation, with five new schools opening in just three years, from Jakarta and San Francisco to Nigeria, Qatar and now Kenya.

Reflecting on the award, Joel Worrall Wellington College International Director said:

“It was a real privilege to accept this award alongside my colleague Paul Vanni, but the recognition belongs to our whole team. Nothing great happens without great people, and we are incredibly fortunate to work with colleagues whose dedication, expertise and commitment make everything we do possible. It could just as easily have been 20 of us standing on that stage.”

While this is a proud milestone, Wellington College International believes that education is never really about awards, the number of schools, or global reach. At its heart, it is about the learning journey, and the measures that matter most are often the quietest ones: securing a first-choice university place, certainly, but also writing a first sentence, scoring a first goal, and forming friendships that last a lifetime, all underpinned by genuine wellbeing, positive mental health and self-awareness. As the organisation looks ahead, its focus remains on helping every student flourish as a whole person, and on the work still to come, including its growing commitment to human flourishing in the age of AI.
