On Sunday 21st September, our fearless Prefect Team will swap their suits for sports gear as they take on the infamous Tough Mudder 2025. And they won’t be alone — joining them on the start line will be Mr Dahl, Mrs Henderson, Mr Wyndham and Mr Lowry.
For those unfamiliar, the Tough Mudder is not your average run in the park. Imagine plunging into icy water, crawling under barbed wire through thick mud, stumbling through tunnels filled with tear gas, and then — just for fun — running through 10,000-volt dangling live wires. It’s muddy. It’s messy. It’s downright ridiculous. And it’s going to test their teamwork and resilience to the absolute limit.
So why are they putting themselves through this ordeal? Because our prefects have chosen to raise funds for Young Lives vs Cancer, a charity that makes an extraordinary difference to young people and families facing cancer. Their fundraising goal is as bold as the challenge: £18,000 — one thousand pounds for every one of Wellington’s 18 boarding houses.
If you would like to sponsor the team and support this brilliant cause, you can do so via their JustGiving page: Click here to donate.
Let’s rally behind our prefects and staff as they dive headfirst into ice baths, mud pits and electric shocks — all in the name of making a difference.
